Counseling program for parents of children with hearing impairments

This research proposal has the purpose of carrying out a counseling program for parents of children with hearing impairment, which will be built from the experiences and experiences that occurred in the family and educational context from the perspective of the parents, emphasizing that it will only focus on their communicative interaction without including their school performance. In the event that parents, within their experiences, manifest barriers present in the contexts of family, educational or social interaction of their children, the design of the actions that they can take to reduce or eliminate said barriers will be carried out. From the design of the counseling program, it will be sought to provide tools to parents so that through them they can create awareness in society and expand thinking about what a deficiency is and what strategies should be implemented for effective communication, as well as about the communication modality that they should use with their children and how to be able to reach an effective interaction without having to put barriers on each of them, but on the contrary that they have the support they really deserve, such as inclusion in their homes, their schools and in each context.
