Incidence of bullying in psycho-emotional development in adolescents from 14 to 15 years of age in a public educational institution in the municipality of Yopal

"Introduction. Bullying is a social phenomenon that has increased exponentially in recent years,
becoming one of the most frequent problems in the classroom of educational institutions, generating
psycho-emotional damage to those who suffer from it. Aim. To identify the incidences of bullying in the
development of psycho-emotional affectations of adolescents from 14 to 15 years old, in a public
educational institution in the municipality of Yopal. Materials and methods. This research is carried out
from the qualitative approach, focusing its consideration on describing, analyzing and inquiring about the
understanding of the phenomenological, with a sample of 13 adolescents from an educational
institution. Results. The most frequent incidents in psycho-emotional aspects in the school environment
are bullying and discrimination, generating a series of problems or psycho-emotional affectations such as
sadness, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and suicidal thoughts. Discussion. The absence of healthy
coexistence causes conflict events that in most cases generate important psycho-emotional affectations
in adolescents. Conclution. Bullying has gradually become a social problem in adolescents, preventing
the free development of their personality in those who suffer from it and can minimize their selfrealization, generating behavioral traumas, and limiting their socialization processes.
