Synopsis

The purpose of this research is to understand the impact that migration generates on the emotional development of foreign adolescents from 12 to 15 years old in an NGO in Ipiales-Colombia, it is relevant to inquire about how migration influences the emotional development of adolescents. Foreigners who arrive in Colombia, in order to create and execute humanitarian projects and national action plans that respond to the identified needs from an acknowledgment of reality and above all taking into account the voice of the population with which they work.

This work is focused on the qualitative method, based on a phenomenological study, which allowed the development of a qualitative analysis, through a semi-structured interview applied to 10 adolescents and 10 parents, who through the stories indicate the Impact generated by migration on the emotional development of foreign adolescents.

For the analysis of the information acquired through the interviews, open and axial coding was used as a method, important aspects that allowed to preserve the coherence between the qualitative methodology, the research question, the data collection method and its analysis.
