This research is based on a detailed observation of an urban group
youth to which some adolescents between 13 and 15 years old belong, from a community in
Florence Caqueta; collecting varied information through open interviews to eight (8)
adolescents, (4) parents, which one (1) single parent has two or 3 children within the
group and four (4) teachers from the institution attended by these young people, which allowed
perform the respective description and result of quantitative, phenomenological analysis on the
incidence of these urban groups in social skills.
The aspects that were initially addressed are the following: first, the identification
of the youth group, found in the chosen context, then a description of said
youth group, its main integrating activities and the observed social skills that
were able to identify and analyze through the axial open coding method, oriented to the
research problem question, determining as a result the successful level of relationship
with others who achieve, when their self-esteem, self-regulation of their behavior,
role acquisition and school performance are influenced by the urban group to which
belong.
