Understanding the experiences of discrimination due to sexual orientation and gender identity in adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age from a rural educational institution in Cundinamarca.

All adolescents are at risk of being vulnerable to aggressive behavior during their lifetime. However, there are minorities at greater risk of suffering these behaviors, especially adolescents with diverse sexual orientation or gender identity. This study has three objectives: (1) Identify through current theoretical and conceptual references in the lack of education in sexual orientation in adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, promote categories of analysis to respond to the research topic, (2) Categorize the data obtained through the information collected in adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, apparently educational results that respond to the research topic and (3) Analyze the behaviors of sexual orientation in adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, in the Rural Institution of the department of Cundinamarca, to respond to the general objective of the investigation. The results show a high percentage of discrimination, adolescents show greater victimization and adolescents aggression, and there is a higher percentage of non-heterosexual victims, especially gays and bisexuals. In conclusion, LGTBI people show greater vulnerability, so it is necessary to develop and implement anti-discrimination programs in the educational community.
