Effects of marijuana use on the academic performance of adolescents between the ages of 14 and 17 in stratum 1 of an educational institution in the municipality of Lleida - Tolima

The present investigation is carried out with the purpose of identifying the effects of marijuana consumption on the academic performance of adolescents between the ages of 14 and 17 belonging to a stratum 1 educational institution in the municipality of Lleida -Tolima. Likewise, causes and consequences of the consumption of this psychoactive substance in the age group at an individual, family, community and social level. For the scope of the aforementioned, the development of four (4) chapters is determined to account for the process: In chapter 1, GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: the research problem, context, objectives (general and specific) and justification; In chapter 2. FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCES: Background, theoretical framework (Brofenbrenner's Ecological Theory), conceptual framework (socialization scenarios, adolescence, marijuana use, effects of marijuana and academic performance) and finally, legal framework, where it is described the legal foundations; in chapter 3. Type of study (qualitative-phenomenological), population and sample, procedure (schedule), data collection techniques (semi-structured interview), data analysis techniques and ethical considerations and concludes with the chapter 4. ANALYSIS OF RESULTS (microanalysis and open coding, axial coding, discussion/conclusions and annexes).
