RISK FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH CHILD MALNUTRITION IN CDI CHILDREN IN BARRANCABERMEJA DISTRICT

The purpose of this research is to analyze the risk factors that generate child malnutrition in children from 3 to 4 years of age from the Child Development Center of the four commune of Barrancabermeja, whereas malnutrition is a problem affecting the growth and normal development of the child population, it is essential to investigate the prevalence of this situation on the basis of identification, the analysis and study of risk factors affecting vulnerable children. This research is approached from the qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of study from a sample of nine parents of children identified as malnourished, through the semi-structured interview as an instrument that allows the collection of information on the problem through the implementation of an informed consent, a socio-demographic questionnaire and for its analysis, the transversal coherence matrix.

In addition, it consists of four fundamental chapters for the development of the process, the first chapter seeks to describe the project based on the approach of the problem, the research question, as well as the objectives and justification. The second chapter takes into account the background, the frame of reference from Human Scale Development Theory and those normative. At the same time, the conceptual framework from the analysis categories such as poverty, child malnutrition and integral development. The type of study, population, sample and procedure from the third chapter from the methodological design as fundamental variables and chapter four from the analysis of results from the collection of information from those instruments and data obtained through axial coding and open as a process of triangulation of the investigative exercise, generating discussions and conclusions accompanied by limitations and some possible recommendations that would be granted to achieve the proposed objectives.
