Experiencias de comunicación asertiva en la atención a niños, niñas y adolescentes por parte de servidores públicos de protección y restablecimiento de derechos del municipio de Facatativá

Assertive communication is an essential skill for the development of interpersonal relationships present in the family, school and work. However, the concern of the investigation revolved around knowing the experiences of the absence of assertive communication in the care of children and adolescents by public servants in charge of reestablishing rights in the municipality of Facatativá. It was carried out with the qualitative methodology with the phenomenological approach, taking into account a sample made with eight officials, through the technique (in-depth interview). It was identified that as a whole, the interviewees recognize the importance of using assertive communication in the processes of reestablishing the rights of children and adolescents, from the time the initial assessment is made until the end of the process; to promote good treatment with families and the ethical responsibility that a public office entails. In this section, the role of the entity was discussed in order to schedule training sessions that promote assertive communication, and thus improve the treatment of users based on effectiveness. However, officials and entities must assume personal and institutional commitments to promote assertive communication.
