Synopsis

Preschool age ranges are between 3 to 5 years old according to Jean Piaget, comprising the second period of kids development which he calls it preoperational and it is where a child gets an accelerated language improvement, begins applying words in a truly representative shape, he used to refer to events that it does not experience directly.

Kids experience oral language in the family environment in a general way communicating with their needs, to communicate and understand those who use their same language having a sense and a specific goal, it means, language is used as a communicative tool to share experiences, ideas, interests, fears, thoughts and knowledge.

Language development is linked to the kids' brain maturity and the socio-family environment in which it unfolds; The way how language develops in each person is exclusive of this.

It was taken into account as an objective was to know the practice of language development difficulties in boys and girls between 3 to 4 years old, due to confinement by Covid-19, in a kindergarten in the Normandia neighborhood in Bogotá city.

Practicing as a method and material in the qualitative approach in which the objective was describe and analyze the human beings behavior and their groups from the researcher perspective having more contact with the context real situation, based on the experiences that are interpreted subjectively, with a final sample 13 students in which includes 5 boys and 8 girls who are between 3 to 4 years old.

The type of study applied was the ethnomethodology that allowed us to describe the social world along with their continuous changes, the environment in which human beings are exposed as an objective, organized, intelligent and familiar reality.

In this way as a result it was defined that kindergarten's boys and girls have differences in language development, those difficulties are the confinement consequences that was experienced in Colombia as a result of Covid-19.

As researchers it was concluded that confinement, family and close caregivers influenced boys and girls language development because they are the ones who maintain the closest emotional ties, giving stimulations and creating communicative tie, due to the situation contact was limit with the educational institutions, health or support centers generating a huge emptiness and leaving a mark by not be able to share with pairs and other adults; however, they are not the only systems, that can influence in language development  since those are not directly linked but somehow impact their language development.
