THE CHILD ABUSE IN BOYS AND GIRLS FROM EIGHT TO TEN YEARS OF AGE IN AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION ON THE ISLAND OF REINERA IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ARAUQUITA-ARAUCA.: CHILD ABUSE IN BOYS AND GIRLS FROM EIGHT TO TEN YEARS OLD
Synopsis
Child abuse has been a scourge that has attacked children since all time and often silently. This situation, added to other elements of vulnerability, creates a significant alteration in the quality of life.
Therefore, this study aims to, understand the experiences of child abuse in boys and girls from eight to ten years of age from an educational institution on the island of Reinera in the municipality of Arauquita-Arauca, where cases of abuse arise daily, which are not usually attended and understood from their essence. In response to this situation, a qualitative phenomenological study was implemented that allowed a global approach to social situations to explore and understand them based on children's knowledge. To achieve the proposed objective, an in-depth interview was designed and applied that allowed knowing the experiences of abuse, applied to a sample of ten participants.
The results provided solid information regarding the different situations of abuse faced by the selected population, emphasizing that the types of abuse that occur the most are physical and psychological, which generates the need to forge psychosocial proposals that allow the recognition, prevention and necessary attention to guarantee the rights of boys and girls.
