The pedagogical strategies in early childhood are the actions that teachers and parents use to stimulate learning from the four pillars of initial education: art, literature, exploration and play. The objective of this research is to know the pedagogical strategies in the child development of children from 3 to 5 years old who belong to the indigenous community of the Resguardo of Yaramal from Ipiales. Materials and methods. The bases of the research are based on the ecological theory of Urie Bronfenbrenner with a qualitative approach and an ethnographic study, using participant observation in 12 indigenous children of the Resguardo of Yaramal (Ipiales) for the collection of information. Results. In the observations, it was possible to demonstrate the application of pedagogical strategies with enriched environments and with creative intentionality that stimulate children to new learning through activities that increase their motor skills. Conclusions. Children who are from an ethnic group need their own pedagogical strategies that allow them to live learning experiences from their knowledge and help them adapt to their context, with families playing an important role as the first educator of their children.
