Synopsis

This research starts from the Introduction. that presents the research problem on the lack of knowledge of sign language in adolescents from 12 to 15 years of an educational institution in the municipality of Madrid, Cundinamarca, addressing these issues at a theoretical and conceptual level. The objective was: to understand the experiences on sign language in adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age from an educational institution in the municipality of Madrid, Cundinamarca, from Piaget's Cognitive Development Theory. Materials and methods: used were qualitative research of a phenomenological type, through an in-depth interview. As results: 3 experiences were obtained which were: social learning experiences, experiences of social behavior and experiences of affective relationships. Ending with the Conclusions: to reflect and make recommendations about the research problem.
