Synopsis

This research starts from the introduction that represents the problem of self-injury in
adolescents aged 14 to 16 years of an educational institution in the municipality of Puerto Boyacá,
addressing these issues at a theoretical and conceptual level, the general objective was to
understand the experiences of self-injury in adolescents. in an educational institution in the
municipality of Puerto Boyacá, from the theory of Logotherapy. Materials and methods:
Qualitative - phenomenological research was used, through an in-depth interview. As a result, 9
consequences are presented, which are: of self-regulation and frequency, self-regulation and
influence on the person, of the wrong decision and physical damage, of intentionality in the
person, of the motive focused on the situation, of the alternatives of the intervention, of the
alternatives of the solution, of the perception and the development of the identity, of the
perception of emotional discomfort. Ending with the conclusions, recommendations and
discussions around the problems dealt with.
